From the builders of Savannah Boat Works and born from the boat building heritage of the Carolina's, the shallows of the Georgia mud flats, the grass flats of the Florida Keys and the bays and bayous of Alabama, Louisiana and Texas, comes a new look, a better ride and a more efficient way to go boating. It's called the "Savannah Skiff". The big rivers and bays of Savannah, Georgia, the backwaters of South Carolina as well as the large sounds of North Carolina, the Pamlico and Albemarle, have always demanded boats that could handle, "big water". The new Savannah Skiff, with a spacious self bailing cockpit is offered in two sizes. The 2286 which is 21 feet 9 inches LOA and has an 8'6" inch beam, dwarfs boats in the same class. With a 22 inch gunwale height and 8 to 10 inches of draft you can go in a lot of places, big or small. Her sister skiff, the 2080 Savannah Skiff is similar in dimensions and offers the same efficiency. The conventional flat bottom entry is gone from these boats. They have a unique bottom with a 15 degree entry that flattens out to a 5 degree soft chine bottom with a pad for fuel efficient performance and a much improved ride over other skiffs. The bottom carries three running strakes for better maneuverability and prevents sliding in the turns. Both dry and stable, and a shallow draft, you can load this boat down with everything you need for a family weekend camping and fishing trip to the outer banks of North Carolina or put all your duck hunting buddies, their dogs, guns, decoys, food and drink and go, even on rough weather days. Whatever the use, the new Savannah Skiff is a new boat for a new day. It has been called the Salt Water Utility Vessel or "SUV" for its ability to handle large loads and make the long haul. Available in two sizes, the 2286 and her sister skiff the 2080 both promise to fulfill your needs of a skiff for years to come. Recommended power for the 2286 is a 115 Yamaha four stroke. The maximum horsepower rating is a 150 four stroke. Recommended power for the 2080 is a 90 Yamaha with a maximum horsepower of 115. This is a great riding skiff made out of all fiberglass, creature comforts you wouldn't normally see in a skiff and a cost that is affordable. It's a lot of boat at a very fair price. It's a new boat for a new day. Come check out our other boats at www.chaosboat.com. There's a new skiff in the water these days and we're sure you’ll like it from Savannah Boat Works.
